Povo is a really great hyper-local wiki that I worked on a few years ago. It's a mashup of mapping + wiki + all sorts of other web-goodness, aiming to create an editable knowledge repository about places. It's well worth a visit, a fantastic resource for Bostonians (and us Cantabridgians, as well).
My experiment with audio recordings for mobiles. I've recently taken it down b/c the ringtone host I was using kind of sucks. Eventually, I'll make them available again, time permitting.
